In Department I - Budget and Finance, in the central administration of the University of Trier, the following position is to be filled as soon as possible:
Tax Clerk (m/f/d)

(A 11 LBesG RP/E 11 TV-L, 100%, permanent)


In the 2018 budget year, the University of Trier implemented an SAP-based ERP system and keeps its books in both double-entry and single-entry accounting.


Your tasks will include:


  • Preparing tax returns for the commercial enterprises of the University of Trier.
  • Preparing VAT returns, VAT declarations, and reviewing VATrelated matters, particularly for incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Conducting tax assessments of business transactions and assigning them to the commercial enterprises.
  • Handling taxrelated fundamental issues.
  • Supporting the department in the implementation, execution, and process redesign following changes in the law, such as § 2b UStG.

We expect from you:


  • Qualification for the third entrylevel position in the civil service. If the civil service requirements are not met, employment under the TV-L collective agreement is possible. In this case, we require a relevant degree or a taxrelated education with several years of professional
