The SNSB is one of the oldest and largest research collections in the world.

It combines natural history collections in the fields of zoology, botany, geology, paleontology, mineralogy, anthropology, and paleoanatomy - including the living collections of the Botanical Garden.

Approximately 280 employees archive and research around 32 million collection specimens.

The focus of SNSB activities in collection, research, and knowledge transfer is on the geo- and biosphere change, with a special focus on alpine systems in time and space.

With our national and international research, we make a significant contribution to a deeper understanding of geo- and biodiversity, as well as the impact of human actions on the Earth's ecosystem.

The Genomics Core Facility, currently under construction, is a permanent unit that supports the research groups of the SNSB in all aspects of their scientific research related to genomics (i.e. sequencing and analysis of genomes or their subregions).

It provides the necessary laboratory work and bioinformatic analysis, serves as a focal point for genomics in the SNSB, and monitors and evaluates the development of new methods.

We are looking for a full-time employee (m/f/d) to join our team as a technical assistant in the Genomics Core Facility of the SNSB, starting on June 1, 2023, until May 31, 2025.

Responsibilities:

**Analysis of DNA and RNA in close collaboration with
