- As a Clinical Nurse III you will perform a variety of direct patient care activities specific to the unit and needs of the patient population
- Perform patient assessments, triage patient concerns, provide clinical education to patients for pre-ops and other disease management education
- Manage anticoagulation, coordinate patient care, and maintain overall management of the ambulatory cardiac clinic with over 20 providers daily
- Obtain prior authorizations
- Triage phone calls from patients, pharmacies and other providers
- Identify the ability of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow instructions, as well as safety concerns in the age-related populations
- Institute additional measures to provide a safe environment
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- BSN highly preferred
- Current, unrestricted California RN license required
- ACLS from the American Heart Association required
- Specialty certification required (or willing to obtain within one year of hire)
- A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience required
- Demonstrated ability in a specialty area (procedure center, ambulatory clinic and/or cardiology) strongly preferred
- Excellent IV skills required
