The Archdiocesan Ordinariate in Bamberg is the administrative center of the archdiocese, with eight main departments and twelve staff positions.

The Archdiocese of Bamberg is seeking a

Consultant for Business Management (m/f/d)


for the Department of Finance and Assets, starting on July 1, 2023, with a full-time position (currently 39 hours/week) based in Bamberg.


Your main tasks:


  • Advising and supporting administrative leaders, main and honorary staff in pastoral areas on economic and organizational issues
  • Providing business management advice to church institutions on topics such as accounting, taxes, risk management, and controlling
  • Conducting training and further education for administrative leaders and other main and honorary staff
  • Auditing annual financial statements of church institutions
  • Conducting and evaluating business surveys
  • Taking on project management, control, and monitoring, especially in the management and support of upcoming change management processes
  • Supporting the department head by preparing and submitting statements on special topics
