As a project manager, consultant, developer, or IT architect, now is the most exciting time to join and work with a strong team to implement groundbreaking solutions and major projects in the fields of mobility, infrastructure, and logistics.


We are currently looking for a Java Embedded Systems programmer (m/f/d) for DB Systemtechnik GmbH at our locations in Frankfurt (Main) or Hamburg.

The position can be filled full-time or in a part-time capacity (starting at 30 hours/week).


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing Java applications for vehicle telemetry for rail vehicles in an agile team
  • Creating specialized software solutions for data logging, transmission, and storage in the cloud, as well as for monitoring and remote maintenance of IoT assets in the railway environment
  • Joining a newly formed software development team and programming applications for vehicle telemetry and IoT cloud solutions in collaboration with the department
  • Ensuring safety, availability, and performance
  • Keeping up with trends and integrating new technologies and methods

Your profile:

  • You have a degree in computer science or a similar field
  • You have several years of experience in Java development and embedded development
  • You have previous experience working on projects
  • Ideally, you have some experience with Linux, IoT technologies, app development, realtime applications, and/or storage applications for timeseries
