    Position Opportunity:

    We are seeking an Accountant that is a hands-on accounting professional with proven problem solving, analytical, and communication skills. For this role, you must have experience with full cycle month-end closing processes and financial reporting requirements. This position will perform manufacturing analysis while supporting the establishment of more efficient accounting procedures. The successful candidate combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and computer skills to analyze accounts, transactions, and financial reports. Experience collaborating with cross functional personnel and management to re-engineer existing processes targeted for improvement and drive new processes is also required.

    How you will make an impact:

    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Preparing Financial Entries:
      • Prepare daily journal entries and month-end accruals.
      • Analyze and record changes in inventory, intangibles, and provisions.
    • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
      • Record journal entries, accounts payable (AP) invoices, and accounts receivable (AR) billing.
      • Coordinate customized billing and process company payments promptly.
    • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
      • Engage with the business to provide commentary on Balance Sheet flux analysis.
      • Collaborate on group initiatives to enhance accounting and reporting processes.
      • Assist in reconciling trading and accounting profit & loss.
    • Inter-Company Reconciliation:
      • Perform accounting, reconciliation, and analysis of North American inter-company receivables/payables.
      • Maintain and reconcile all corporate General Ledger (GL) accounts, including salary, prepayments, property, plant, and equipment (PP&E), and corporate receivables/payables.
    • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
      • Coordinate financial data and responses for regulatory reports.
      • Assist in researching the application of accounting rules to various transactions.
      • Assist monthly accounting and finance reports to the team.
    • Communication and Coordination:
      • Communicate effectively with relevant company stakeholders.

    As a future Matican you bring:

    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent
    • Experience:
      • Accounting experience 1-3 years
      • Pharma or healthcare experience a plus
      • Tax experience a plus
      • Infor or SAP platform experience a plus
      • IFRS Experience a plus
    • Skills:
      • General knowledge:
        • Accounting
        • Good understanding of US GAAP
    • Qualities & Attitude:
