The team "I+K Services" at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO in Stuttgart is responsible for the entire server and network operation of the institute. The team covers a wide range of topics and offers many opportunities to provide various IT services for the scientific environment. The institute has a high-quality IT infrastructure. Our goal is not only to provide and operate a stable, highly efficient, and innovative IT for our scientists, but also to continuously develop it. Therefore, we are looking for a computer scientist to strengthen our team as soon as possible.

What you will do

Cross-location management of our network (firewall, routers, and switches) at the main location in Stuttgart, as well as in the branch offices in Berlin, Heilbronn, Esslingen, and Munich

Administration of core network services (DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, NAC, etc.) and Microsoft server products (e.g. AD, Exchange, and file servers)

Support and operation of a VMware-based institute cloud

Client and device management including Microsoft 365 operation, software distribution
