Training as an Occupational Therapist

The training as an occupational therapist is based on medical and social science fundamentals. Occupational therapy is considered a medically prescribed treatment and has a wide range of applications. People of all ages with health disorders require occupational therapy services, from early intervention in infancy to various training methods for adults and mobility and cognitive training in advanced age.

The goal of treatment is to promote independence in daily life and improve the patient's quality of life. This mainly involves the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. You will acquire medical, psychosocial, and pedagogical expertise.
During the training, you will complete a total of four internships of 12 weeks each in various occupational therapy facilities. Your practical phases will begin after completing the theory.
