Payroll Assistant

Shift timing: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Lunch: 1/2 hour (unpaid)

Location:20 W. State Street, Trenton, NJ 08625

Job Type:
Contract

Job Duration: 2 Month

  • Under the supervision of a supervisor, will be required to learn how to utilize various types of electronic and computerized information systems used by the division or related agencies.
  • Ability to comprehend and learn the rules and regulations regarding salary and benefit calculations.
  • Ability to make arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately by hand or machine.
  • Prepares and processes claim benefits using computerized information systems, ensuring that all pertinent information has been included and is accurate.
  • Reissue payments for lost and returned checks. Liaison with claim petitioners and various vendors; assist with claim benefit questions and claim payee registration.
