Required Certifications and Licenses:


  • Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Fluent in EKG reading and monitoring
  • Must have background in Cardiac Care
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Essential Functions:


  • Must provide compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
  • Must maintain confidentiality & professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings and projects.
  • Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions.
  • Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Formulates an exercise prescription and nursing plan of care for assigned patients based on patient problems, patient abilities, patient age, nursing interventions and specific patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates physical ability to perform and assist patient in the use of cardiac rehab exercise equipment.
