At North Lake, we offer training for educators with the goal of preparing them to work professionally and competently in social pedagogical institutions.

Our program places a special emphasis on values education, religious education, and personal development.

With a degree as a state-recognized educator (Bachelor Professional in Social Work), there are many career opportunities available to you, including working in:

  • Daycare centers
  • Afterschool programs
  • Children and youth welfare institutions
  • Open youth work facilities
  • Residential groups
  • Other social pedagogical institutions
During the training, you also have the opportunity to obtain a higher education entrance qualification. The degree is classified at level 6 (Bachelor level) in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

There is also the option to complete a dual qualification in community education.

This allows you to work in additional roles such as:


  • Children and youth minister in regional and independent churches
  • Community educator
  • Deacon

  • Last school report or vocational qualification certificate
  • Internship certificates or similar documents, if applicable
Upon acceptance, an extended police clearance certificate and a health certificate must also be submitted.


Minimum requirements:

  • Technical college entrance qualification or secondary school leaving certificate with relevant vocational qualification (e.g. child care worker, social assistant, etc.)
