We are Iqony Fernwärme, a regional energy supplier providing environmentally friendly district heating to private households, large customers, and real estate companies in the Ruhr area.

Our district heating is mainly generated through highly efficient combined heat and power production, and we supply approximately 1.6 billion kilowatt hours of heat energy per year – enough to meet the needs of more than households.

This makes us one of the largest district heating companies in North Rhine-Westphalia. We are currently seeking a qualified Head of Energy Management District Heating (m/f/d) to join our team.

Responsibilities In our company, you will work together with a dedicated team of three people on energy management solutions along the entire value chain of district heating supply.

Your responsibilities will include operational processes related to the continuous optimization of our district heating system, as well as the development and implementation of risk management strategies for our portfolio.

You will also be involved in strategic areas as we work towards transforming our system to become climate-neutral. You will collaborate closely with various departments at Iqony Fernwärme, taking on interdisciplinary tasks and overseeing their practical implementation.

In addition to leading your team, your specific tasks will include:
Being the main point of contact at Iqony Fernwärme for all energy management issues Continuously developing energy management processes, tools, and methods Designing, negotiating, and managing energy supply contracts Identifying and evaluating economic and ecological flexibility potentials in the entire district heating system Developing risk
