Assist surgeons in the operating room during a variety of surgical procedures.
Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring a sterile environment.
Handle surgical instruments and equipment with precision and efficiency.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly to requests.
Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to surgery, including reviewing medical histories and conducting physical examinations.
Educate patients on pre-operative instructions and answer any questions they may have.
Collaborate with the surgical team to develop comprehensive pre-operative care plans.
Monitor patients closely in the post-operative period, assessing vital signs and overall recovery.
Manage post-operative pain and administer medications as prescribed.
Provide patient education on post-operative care and follow-up instructions.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical notes and post-operative progress.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons, to optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements:
Experience
Minimum of two years' experience as an APP in a physician practice or OR preferred
Certification:
USD - USD /Hr.
