- Prepares and submits all grant reimbursements within established deadlines.
- Analyzes, documents and reviews accounts payable invoices related to grants for compliance with grant requirements prior to payment.
- Reviews the grant time allocation report to ensure correct coding.
- Collaborates with company personnel to prepare grant proposals for federal, state, local and/or private institutions by compiling financial data.
- Ensures compliance with all financial grant requirements.
- Coordinates data collection and assists company personnel with preparation of monthly and quarterly performance reports.
- Ensures all grants are in financial compliance with federal, state, local and private rules and regulations.
- Assists with single audit data collection.
- Assists with other accounting tasks and reconciliations as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management or Finance or comparable experience.
- One year of experience in a financial role including grant and fund accounting.
- Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of accounting theory and audit.
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work.
- Proficient computer skills including Office applications and Dynamics 365 software (preferred).
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
- Ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The Grant Accountant is responsible for invoicing and reconciling grants for the company. The Grant Accountant is responsible for ensuring all invoices are in compliance with grant requirements and assists workforce advancement staff with financial compliance guidelines.
