Your tasks:

In your area of responsibility, you will be responsible for planning and designing island networks at the medium voltage level:

Technical clarifications with customers and suppliers in Europe and North America
Selection and evaluation of switchgear, motors and generators as well as determination of technical solutions
Creation of project-related documentation
Design and analysis of switchgear and their protective devices according to European and North American standards
As needed, conducting acceptance tests at suppliers and customers, as well as training and instruction

Electrical engineering or energy technology degree or comparable education
Professional experience in planning/designing switchgear
Experience with generators in the power range of over 1 MW desired
Experience in reading and creating circuit diagrams for medium voltage switchgear (ANSI device numbers)
Enthusiasm for new and diverse tasks and projects, especially in North America
Willingness to travel (primarily to North America)
Enjoyment of direct communication with customers and suppliers
Motivation to independently develop and share your own knowledge and skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Excellent German and English language skills
