In the Legal Department of the Department - Academic and Legal Affairs of the central university administration, the position of a Legal Counselor is to be filled as soon as possible, on an indefinite basis and full-time.

The position also includes serving as the Deputy Head of the Legal Department.


The appointment will be made in the civil service, if the necessary requirements are met, at the salary level A 13 to A 14, otherwise in the employment relationship at the salary level 13 to 14 TV-L.

The Legal Department is the central advisory body for legal matters at the University of Bonn.

You will work in a team of six legal counselors at the university, handling various legal tasks in different areas (including civil law, contract law, procurement law, and public law, especially academic affairs, examination law, and data protection law) and representing the Legal Department in the absence of the Head.


Your tasks:

  • You will draft and review important contracts for the university and participate in the creation of statutes, regulations, and bylaws.
