EPM Scientific is currently seeking a Research Engineer for a state-of-the-art medical device organization in Kalihiwai. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in advancing their medical laser systems and have the opportunity to be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking technologies and revolutionary therapies.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting optical adjustments and characterizations of lasers, including verification and documentation
  • Performing error analysis and implementing corrective measures during the development process
  • Defining system requirements and contributing to the design of medical laser systems
  • Providing regular progress reports on development results and collaborating closely with internal and external departments
  • Supporting external research projects as per set objectives
  • Generating innovative product ideas and functions

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Physics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with a strong background in opto-mechanical and electrical component design
  • At least 3 years of experience in R&D of laser components (optical, electrical, mechanical)
  • In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of laser technology, optics, and opto-mechanical setups, with experience in designing solid-state lasers (flash
