We are currently looking for dedicated teachers (m/f/d) for German language instruction as a second and/or foreign language for a project at the Gablingen prison in Palmarejo, PR.

Your responsibilities:


During their time in prison, it is important for inmates to stay on track and continue to improve themselves in order to successfully reintegrate into the workforce after their release.

This can be particularly challenging for inmates with a migration background, as they often struggle to maintain their existing German language skills and find it difficult to acquire new knowledge and improve their language abilities.


This is where you come in:
your task is to teach inmates in compact units and make a valuable contribution to their rehabilitation.


Your profile:
You enjoy sharing your knowledge with the target group and have a passion for working with people. You also possess the necessary empathy for the unique situation of inmates.


Requirements:

  • Practical experience in teaching German language
  • Ideally, a completed degree in linguistics and/or education
  • BAMF certification is not required
