Overview:

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Health Services and in cooperation with all other agency personnel, the Assistant Program Director of the Medicaid Managed Care Unit will provide oversite in the coordination with the Medicaid Managed Care Plans (MMCPs) and participant programs.

Primarily the role is to ensure that there is a highly-coordinated approach between Good Shepherd Services and the Medicaid Managed Care Plans.

Salary:
$70,000 - $80,000


Major Duties:


  • Provide overall leadership and supervision to the Medicaid Manage Care Liaisons' (MMCL).
  • Responsible for program function and staff scheduling.
  • Develop and facilitate weekly staff meetings.
  • Committed to providing high quality training with a coaching and growth mindset.
  • Develop linkages with external community providers who participate in Medicaid Manage Care Plans (MMCPs) for services to participants.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participants
  • Create and promote communication between MMCU and participants' programs to provide information and feedback from the Medicaid Manage Care Plans.
  • Attend all MMCP meetings and required professional development activities.
  • Monitors assigned Medicaid Manage Care Liaisons' work activities with programs and MMCPs through team meetings and regular individual meetings
  • Complete and conduct monthly and random reports to monitor the efficiency of billing and communicate with the MMCP and program to address eligibility issues.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to the Medicaid Manage Care Liaisons.
  • Coordinates and conducts plans for audit preparation and audit execution.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports data in the area of supervision to assist the Division Director.
  • Oversees the identification of eligible members from other agency programs and MMCPs enrollment.
  • Works collaboratively with all teams throughout agency programs.
  • Completes special projects and assignments as needed or identified by the Division Director.
  • Ensure appropriate utilization of internal and external databases.
  • Ensure program's compliance with MMCPs requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors' degree in medical or mental health or child development, or relevant field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in child welfare with supervisory experience.
  • Experience, Expertise, and Knowledge of the child welfare system, foster care healthcare requirements, the unique complex needs of foster care population, and Medicaid Managed Care policies and operations
  • Ability to clearly communication both in writing and verbally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Evolv
