POSITION SUMMARY

Are you passionate about food preparation? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team, responsible for maintaining the high standards of our dining program in terms of hospitality and service quality. This role involves meeting food quantity requirements, ensuring timely preparation, and overseeing kitchen operations in the Chef's absence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Here are the key responsibilities for this role. While these duties are common, additional tasks may be assigned as needed:

• Prepare dishes following standardized recipes.

• Coordinate meal production based on required supplies and serving timings.

• Address special dietary needs as per resident menus.

• Uphold quality standards in food items including temperature and taste.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety protocols.

• Assist in training new kitchen staff.

• Adhere to safety and loss prevention protocols.

• Keep updated on food handling regulations at local, state, and federal levels.

• Maintain accurate records of temperature logs, taste evaluations, and cleaning routines.

• Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Background and Experience:

• Minimum of two years of experience as a cook handling various menu items.

• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.

• Ability to prepare specialized diets as needed.
