- Coordinate on-site and off-site events as directed by the Director of Activities.
- Participate in planning, physical set-up, and staffing of in-house events and classes.
- Participate in planning and staffing of resident excursions in the community.
- Maintain resident reservations and activity sign-up records.
- Follow up with residents by phone or personally to confirm activity sign-up and reservation.
- Disseminate activity schedules to residents, including monthly event postings and newsletters.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm attitude when visiting with staff and residents.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure resident rights are protected.
- Prior event planning experience required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Able to make independent decisions when in various circumstances.
- Must possess good communication and people skills.
- Office and administrative skills a must.
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher required.

This position's primary purpose is to support the coordination and execution of in-house and off-campus activities, events, resident transportation, volunteer coordination, and community excursions in an efficient manner, following established procedures and as directed by the Activities Director.
