Why JESCO:


Responsible for maintaining payroll and the Time/Attendance system, process paychecks according to schedule, 401k, HRA, FSA, garnishment payments and understanding all aspects of payroll regarding payroll tax laws and regulations.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and process weekly payroll for all employees and assist on biweekly payroll. Prepare and process payment through accounts payable and union reports. Prepare and process employee garnishments. Maintain and update vacation, sick and personal day schedules for union employees. Maintain and update overtime schedules when required.
  • Prepare and process payroll journal entries. Prepare and process payroll accrual journal entries. Maintain and update spreadsheets for various general ledger accounts. Review, prepare and process for payment through accounts payable all health and workmen's compensation insurance bills.
  • Maintain all health insurance addons, changes, new hires and terminated cobra coverage. Complete unemployment verifications.
  • Maintain and process commission and bonuses, providing necessary record keeping for all departments.
  • Prepare quarterly, NJ and other state Bureau of Labor Statistics. Provide backup support for HR when needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Previous experience with integration of new payroll systems.
  • Multistate/multiunion payroll experience highly preferred.
  • Experience setting up payroll feeds with carriers through HRIS system.
  • Experience setting up new cost centers and department codes.
  • Working knowledge of Paylocity HRIS software preferred but not required.

Pay:
$55, $65,000.00 per year
