JOB SUMMARY


The Facility Technician III is a senior level position that performs general, advanced and professional-grade maintenance in the areas of maintenance construction, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.

This position will coordinate repairs with other Facility Technicians and vendors and assist with training new Facility Technicians.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required.
  • Troubleshoot, install and repair: HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing services.
  • Operate various maintenance equipment, including but not limited to: hand, electrical or air tools, pressure washers and lawn maintenance equipment.
  • Immediately report safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures, including using the lockout/tagout system before performing maintenance work.
  • Diagnose problems and implement solutions.
  • Direct the work of other Facility Technicians as assigned by manager.
  • Assist with stocking, unloading and delivering supplies.
  • Assist with maintaining property security.
  • Document repair operations and timetracking in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and tools essential to accomplishing daily tasks.
  • Perform general housekeeping and engineeringrelated duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • One of the following:
  • Journeyman electrical license or at least 10 years of experience with an apprentice license;
  • Journeyman plumbing license or at least 10 years of experience with an apprentice license;
  • HVAC-EPA license or at least 10 years of related experience; or
  • At least 10 years of professionalgrade maintenance experience in general maintenance and construction
  • Ability to identify problems and implement solutions
  • With one of the following, the demonstrated familiarity with or ability to:
  • The principles and techniques of plumbing repair, wood finishing, painting, electrical work and carpentry
  • The operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems and electrical and plumbing services
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, lift and forklift
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English

REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Valid Texas Class C driver's license
  • Safe driving record for the past three years
