Cotton Valley is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a Tiefbaufacharbeiter / Gleisbauer (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Kempten.

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to continue your education as a Fahrbahnmechaniker and, optionally, as an IHK Meister in Gleisbau.


During your apprenticeship, you will:

  • Work on construction sites, railway substructures, and superstructures to ensure a safe and stable rail network
  • Use stateoftheart machinery and various building materials
  • Replace damaged tracks and switches, as well as renew the track bed
  • Learn how to use surveying equipment to expertly check track curves and gauge widths
  • Become an essential part of the team, responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth transportation of passengers to their destinations every day


After completing your apprenticeship as a Gleisbauer, you will have the opportunity to participate in paid further training, such as becoming a Fahrbahnmechaniker and eventually a Meister in Gleisbau (IHK).


Your profile:

  • You will soon have completed a good secondary school diploma, Mittlere Reife, or Ab
