Job Advertisement for Caritas Mülheim a. d. Ruhr


The Caritas Mülheim an der Ruhr has been committed to providing assistance to children, youth, families, and refugees and migrants for over 100 years.

As an accredited youth welfare provider, the organization also offers support in integration, addiction, and operates various care services in primary and secondary schools.

With the addition of three new kindergartens at the start of the new school year, Caritas will be expanding its services.

Currently, the organization employs approximately 320 full-time staff members in its various services and facilities.


As part of succession planning, the organization is seeking two board members (m/f/d) with a professional or business focus to start on November 15, 2023.

The total employment will be 1.7 positions.


Your opportunities:

  • Together with your fellow board member, you will be responsible for the strategic management and direction of the organization, taking into account future topics such as digitalization, intercultural competence, sustainability, and social justice.
  • With your respective professional or business focus, you will provide significant input in the development of the organization, for example, in expanding the new field of kindergarten services, and optimize processes in collaboration with department heads.
  • You will represent the organization's futureoriented direction to various partners in the church, society, and politics.
