The city of Glen Burnie is looking to fill the following full-time position, starting as soon as possible and ending on August 15, 2024:
Aquatics Specialist (m/f/d) at the Glen Burnie Sports and Aquatics Center
(Pay grade 7 or 8 according to TVöD-V)
This is a temporary position to cover parental leave.
The Glen Burnie Sports and Aquatics Center operates three indoor pools and one outdoor pool.
The main responsibilities of this position include:
- Supervising pool operations and responding to emergencies, including rescuing and providing first aid to injured individuals
- Monitoring, maintaining, and controlling technical equipment, including water treatment systems, in the pools
- Cash handling
- Preparing and maintaining the outdoor pool for the summer season and winterizing it for the offseason, as well as performing maintenance and cleaning
