The city administration of Bingen is currently seeking a Head of the Electrical Department (m/f/d) for the municipal utility company, starting as soon as possible.

The municipal utility company of Bingen am Rhein combines the departments of road construction, water supply, wastewater disposal, wastewater treatment, public transportation, renewable energy production, and services for the city of Bingen am Rhein.

Your responsibilities as Head of the Electrical Department will include:

Managing a team of 7 professionals
Monitoring, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and potentially renewing the measurement, control, and regulation technology of the municipal utility company in the water and wastewater sectors. This includes monitoring PLCs, backup power systems, pump controls, and PV systems.
Supporting the employees of the wastewater treatment plant in matters of electrical engineering
Conducting inspections according to DGUV 3 and VDE regulations
Planning electrical installations for building technology, control and regulation technology
Continuously optimizing the electrical, process control, and remote control systems
Coordinating and participating in oncall duty.

We expect:

Completed training as a master or technician in electrical engineering, specializing in industrial engineering or energy and building technology, or equivalent education
Driver's license class B/BE, class C would be desirable
Teamwork skills and willingness to take on new tasks.
