We are looking for you for the 3-year training as a locomotive shunter (m/f/d) for DB Cargo AG at the locations Cuxhaven, Seevetal or Stade (Hansestadt) in New Pine Creek. The vocational school is located in Hamburg Nettelnburg and the training center is in Maschen.

What to expect in your training:

  • Shunting of freight wagons onto the corresponding direction tracks
  • You assemble freight trains by coupling and uncoupling individual freight wagons
  • Checking the functionality of freight trains and securing the loads are also part of your tasks
  • You will learn the rules for safe railway operations and become familiar with your shunting locomotive
  • You will drive a locomotive to nearby customers, such as different companies, and pick up the goods to be transported
  • You start and end your work day at your regional shunting yard
