As a Assistant Clinical Manager, you will work with the Clinical Manager and other clinical staff to support individuals and staff in the Developmental Services Division.

The Assistant Clinical Manager plays a major role in the ongoing overall training of the DS Residential department's direct service and management staff.

They also play a role in the development and implementation of Person Centered Planning and Positive Behavioral Supports techniques and protocols/strategies.

The person contributes to the leadership of the department in developing and providing quality services based on person centered models.

The positive behavior support plans will be based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and will include pre-cursors, identified problem times, proactive strategies, and responses to target behaviors that are specific to each individual.

The Assistant Clinical Manager must be able to work in a team environment to help adults improve social, work, and or daily living skills, while helping to reduce maladaptive behaviors.


What you'll do:


  • Develop trainings and train Developmental Services staff in a variety of topics at the training center including, but not limited to, Positive Interaction Strategies, Person Centered Planning, Sexuality, and Positive Behavior Supports.
  • Help evaluate the effectiveness of positive behavior support plans and make any necessary changes to help individuals learn new skills and behaviors more effectively.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision on the implementation of behavior plans.
  • Support the agency Quality Management Department and Survey and Certification processes as applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regulations.
  • Complete necessary ISP documents as needed and submit via HCSIS.
  • The person will attend meetings in which they collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, doctors, direct support staff, house managers and others.
  • Other duties assigned by the Clinical Manager or the Director of Residential Services.

What you'll need:


  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • BCABA or BCBA highly preferred. In lieu of BCBA certification, the Assistant Clinical Manager must be (or be in the process of becoming) a psychologist, independent clinical social worker, masters or doctorate level speech pathologist, a physician, a masters or doctorate level teacher with a certification in special education or a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC).
  • Experience:
  • Experience with function based behavioral assessment and treatment
  • Two years of related direct experience with individuals that have Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities.
  • Skills:
  • Valid Mass driver's license required.
