Description
Why Kemper?

We want to discover your hidden talents and abilities together with you.

One thing is particularly important to us: We want you to feel comfortable with us from day one.

Our trainers and mentors will accompany you throughout your apprenticeship and will be available to you as contact persons at any time. We value a respectful approach and an open and friendly atmosphere, where you can network with other apprentices and learn from them.

Tasks and Responsibilities

As a foundry mechanic (m/f/d), you will monitor the entire production process in foundry production. Depending on your focus, you will either produce casting molds and cores based on a model, which are then placed in the molds to create the necessary cavities in the final casting. Or you will use existing, reusable molds to produce workpieces. Foundry mechanics (m/f/d) melt metal in melting furnaces and add alloy metals and other additives to achieve certain material properties. Once the melt has reached the correct processing temperature, it is poured into the molds. After cooling, the molds are removed, the extracted casting is checked for casting defects, and excess parts are removed. Additional heat treatments may also be carried out to further improve the material properties.
