The city of Hessisch Oldendorf is looking for seasonal workers to join our municipal construction yard (m/f/d).


As a municipal enterprise, the construction yard of Hessisch Oldendorf is responsible for maintaining public green spaces, traffic areas, sports fields, cemeteries, and provides other services for the city administration.


The main tasks include:


  • Assisting with green space maintenance and upkeep in the city
  • Assisting with gardening tasks (pruning, lawn care, safety measures, etc.) in parks, playgrounds, sports fields, the Baxmannbad, and other locations
  • Removing weeds in municipal areas
  • Operating various tools and machinery (e.g. trimmers and hedge trimmers)
  • Driving municipal vehicles
  • Cleaning green spaces and areas

We expect from you:


  • Experience in green space maintenance is desirable
  • Knowledge of tools and machinery
  • Independent work ethic, high flexibility, and physical stamina

What we offer:


  • A fixedterm seasonal position from May 1, 2023 to October 31, 202
  • Fulltime employment with 39 hours per week
  • Competitive salary according to TVöD pay grade 3
