Your Mission

  • In this position, you will be the appointed waste management officer according to § 59 KrWG at the German Karl Storz locations
  • You will monitor compliance with relevant regulations and legal requirements in the areas of waste and emission control
  • You will develop concepts and optimize existing concepts for environmental protection
  • You will conduct waste balances
  • You will conduct site inspections, prepare inspection reports, and address any open issues (waste and emission control)
  • You will also conduct trainings
  • You will act as the internal and external contact person for all waste and emission control topics
  • You will participate in the preparation and follow-up of environmental management audits according to ISO 14001

Your Talents

  • Completed degree in environmental or resource management, environmental engineering, environmental science, or related field
  • Training as a waste management officer is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge in the areas of waste and emission control
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as SAP knowledge
  • Structured and independent work style
  • Confident, assertive, and strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in German and English
