Your tasks:

You will plan, coordinate and work on research projects in the field of energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings, with a special focus on thermally activated building components and their integration into building energy systems.

Your main tasks include:

  • Conducting simulation studies to analyze the thermal and energy behavior of buildings, taking into account building energy systems
  • Numerical simulations at the component level for the physical analysis of thermally activated building components
  • Developing concept designs for integrating energy-active building systems into building technology or building energy systems
  • Developing and implementing monitoring concepts for recording building energy flows and temperatures
  • Measurement-based analysis of energy-active building components and the energy behavior of buildings
  • Calibration and validation of simulation models using real measurement data

As the Institute of Structural Engineering and Construction offers a comprehensive teaching portfolio, active participation in this area is expected from the applicant.

Your qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering
  • Ability to work independently and motivation to solve scientific challenges in the field of thermally activated building components and building energy systems
  • In-depth knowledge in the areas of energy efficiency of buildings and their energy systems is desirable
