Your tasks:

You will plan, coordinate and work on research projects in the field of energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings, with a special focus on thermally activated building components and their integration into building energy systems.

Your main tasks include:

Conducting simulation studies to analyze the thermal and energy behavior of buildings, taking into account building energy systems
Numerical simulations at the component level for the physical analysis of thermally activated building components
Developing concept designs for integrating energy-active building systems into building technology or building energy systems
Developing and implementing monitoring concepts for recording building energy flows and temperatures
Measurement-based analysis of energy-active building components and the energy behavior of buildings
Calibration and validation of simulation models using real measurement data

As the Institute of Structural Engineering and Construction offers a comprehensive teaching portfolio, active participation in this area is expected from the applicant.

Your qualifications:

Master's degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering
Ability to work independently and motivation to solve scientific challenges in the field of thermally activated building components and building energy systems
In-depth knowledge in the areas of energy efficiency of buildings and their energy systems is desirable
