As a Heating Service Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of our customers heating equipment. Your goal will be to troubleshoot and perform diagnostic activities regarding service equipment within established policies and procedures.
Your Role:
- Maintain, troubleshoot and install oil and propane parts and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems that occur by reviewing diagnostics and using the proper tools to complete repairs.
- Provide final inspections of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safely.
- Complete appropriate daily paperwork for each service call.
- Maintain service truck parts inventory.
- Ensure the service truck is in good working order and reliable.
- Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity.
- Rotational on call shifts required.
Your Skills:
- A solid mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work well with others; good organization and communication skills; attention to detail and strong customer service.
- Frequent driving, climbing in and out of vehicle and working in confined spaces. Some heavy lifting.
- Ability to install various types of heating equipment.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and progress though the daily workload efficiently.
- Strong decisionmaking skills
Your Experience:
- A valid Propane or natural gas license. Nora Certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of wiring and plumbing considered an asset.
- Previous heating technician experience preferred.
