The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions throughout the country who want to become even better with us.

We are looking for you for the 3.5-year apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at the Magdeburg location. The training workshop and vocational school are located in Dessau-Roßlau.
What to expect in your apprenticeship:
  • You will become familiar with the properties of materials
  • Metalworking with tools and machines - including turning, welding, drilling and milling
  • You will become a professional in the assembly, commissioning and maintenance of railway technology
  • You will deal with topics such as occupational safety and quality assurance
  • Manufacturing of workpieces according to technical documents
The DB is large and industrial mechanics are versatile, with the goal of being stationed in the workshop after completing the apprenticeship.
  • You will learn how to expertly inspect and prepare machines for operation
Your profile:
  • You have successfully completed school (or will soon)
  • Your knowledge of math and physics is particularly good
  • You have manual dexterity and enjoy tinkering in your free time
