Peever Flats is looking for apprentices (m/f/d) in the field of wood processing mechanics for 2024.


Your responsibilities:


As a wood processing mechanic, you will accompany and carry out various processing steps, from round timber to squared timber or boards.

This includes learning how to assess, inspect, and sort the wood. You will operate large computer-controlled machines and systems that debark, saw, and plane the wood.


What to expect:


A three-year apprenticeship with accompanying vocational school lessons in 6 blocks of approximately 6 weeks each at the Holzfachschule Bad Wildungen.


Your tasks:
Accompanying the various processing steps from round timber to squared timber or boards
Assessment and inspection for quality assurance of the wood
Operation of large computer-controlled machines and systems
Shipping and warehouse management
