Job Summary:

The Healthcare Division Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various administrative, sales, inventory, and safety functions related to healthcare facilities.

This position must ensure that fire protection services are delivered to healthcare customers both efficiently and in compliance, while maintaining excellent customer and employee relations.

The Healthcare Division Manager must collaborate with multiple department managers and provide direction to the field and sales teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Attend monthly codes and standards meetings with Hiller branches to stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet the specific needs of healthcare customers effectively.
  • Provide guidance and decisions to the Healthcare Team regarding project execution
  • Conduct annual employee reviews to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and recognize achievements.
  • Organize and lead monthly tech meetings to ensure technicians are up to date on training, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform onsite visits and document reviews upon customer requests to ensure compliance and address any concerns.
  • Generate jobs as required, including service calls, administrative tasks, and repairs, based on customer demands.
  • Forecast workload and coordinate staffing needs with Team Leads to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Prepare closing documents for deficiency repairs in compliance with company and customer requirements as needed.
  • Manage services in Service Trade (ST)
  • Manage customer assets within ST ensuring accurate records and smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain membership with the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) to stay informed of industry trends.
  • Address and manage employee turnover as needed, including hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Monitor and update job progress in coordination with the Customer Billing (CB) department.
  • Oversee and maintain specialty sprinkler equipment used in healthcare settings to ensure proper functioning.
  • Monitor field operations to ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Provide oversight and consultation for healthcare projects in outer branches to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Provide documentation to customers upon request, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.
  • Resolve customer and employee concerns promptly and professionally to maintain strong relationships.
  • Review and approve expense reports, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Review and approve vacation requests, coordinating with staffing needs and project timelines.
  • Review open jobs for completeness and assess costs to maintain accurate project records.
  • Review technician time sheets on a weekly basis to verify accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide support to the healthcare QA Specialist as required to ensure consistent quality assurance.
  • Support Joint Commission surveys when requested by healthcare customers to assist with compliance efforts.
  • Collaborate with sales team to estimate specialty inspections and large inspection contracts to provide accurate quotes to healthcare customers.
  • Monitor the deficiency queue of the healthcare accounts, as needed
  • Provide technical support as needed, to the sales team to facilitate sales processes.
  • Aid technicians with inventory reconciliation annually to maintain accurate records.
  • Manage inventory using "Job Items" in Service Trade to track and optimize stock levels.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings to stay informed about safety protocols and best practices.
  • Coordinate with the department safety representative to ensure equipment inspections by technicians are completed and documented.
  • Monitor Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for presence and content to ensure safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Conduct field safety audits monthly to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

What We Are Looking For:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Nicet II Certification or above is preferred.
  • 7+ years' experience in fire protection or a related industry, with a focus on healthcare facilities.
  • Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is preferred.
