    Job Description


    Purpose:
    The TEES Manager, Operations is responsible for a variety of special projects with the Chief Operating Officer. This person will be the day-to-day Point of Contact at the TEES RELLIS Headquarters. This person, under general supervision, will perform moderately complex administrative and supervisory work.


    The Manager, Operations' overarching purpose is to assist in ensuring that researchers and staff have what they need to perform their work in a safe, secure environment.


    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the TEES RELLIS Campus point of contact
    • Represent TEES interests in the Transportation Services Advisory Council (TSAC), and the Sustainability & Environmental Management Committee
    • Assist with the development of the Enterprise Risk Management Plan, and Business and Continuity Plans. Participate in exercises/drills related to these plans
    • Participate in updating and maintaining the Delegation of Authority and Business Continuity Plan
    • Act as the TEES Liaison with the RELLIS Administration, including but not limited to attending biweekly RELLIS Operations meetings, RELLIS Security meetings, and SOP development/update meetings
    • Address facility-related matters (including maintenance, repairs, upgrades, etc.) in coordination with the Operations Coordinator
    • Assist with Center Operations tasks, including but not limited to Center Director meetings, reviewing annual reports, and providing support to Centers.
    • Assist with the development of a Safety Culture within TEES with things like safety trainings, having a "safety minute" at the start of meetings, and other activities that promote safety within TEES
    • Coordinate and review the space inventory report
    • Acts as backup for the Youth Programs For Minors Liaison
    • Supervise Operations Coordinator
    • Coordinate and manage special projects that are integral to the research mission
    • Assist Project Specialist II with Center Operations
    • Assist with planning and coordination of TEES Advisory Board events
    • Act as backup for the Chief Operating Officer
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What we need:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Five years of related experience

    What is helpful:

    • Texas A&M University System experience
    • Knowledge of TAMUS business processes and software (AggieBuy, WorkDay, FAMIS/Canopy, Maestro, etc.)
