Experienced German teachers

The schulhafen is a facility of hoffnungsorte hamburg and offers its services to people without a home or shelter, people with experience of poverty, and people with an international background.

The schulhafen provides these individuals with low-threshold educational opportunities and participation in social life.

Here, for example, there is the opportunity to learn German, to shop and cook together, to sew, to participate in a creative writing course, to visit museums, to go on outings together, to express oneself artistically, to participate in a drumming course, and much more

The schulhafen creates a sense of community, strengthens self-confidence, promotes interests and forms of expression, and provides structure. In the schulhafen, deficits and problems are not the focus. Here, one can engage in conversation, try new things, and learn.

An important pillar for the schulhafen are the German courses, as many of our visitors come from other countries.

What we expect:
A friendly, respectful, and patient approach to our visitors, and of course, experience in teaching German.

What we offer:

Payment of 27.50 euros per hour (half an hour of preparation time per course is also compensated) and a friendly working atmosphere based on the principle of Christian charity.
