Job Summary:
"We Change Lives." Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is the master planning, creative development, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its accomplished corps of Imagineers manage the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.
You will support the Walt Disney Imagineering Menu Planning & Development group within the Global Creative Strategy Studio by handling experience development and performance data and providing valuable business tools and analytical insights This role will report to the Manager of Menu Planning & Development, and is in Glendale, CA.
You will:
- Source, input, and maintain relevant product data for global park experience assets including operational performance, consumer insights, financial metrics, etc.
- Analyze data sets to identify trends and insights using different analytical techniques (ex. statistics, forecasting, optimization)
- Communicate results through compelling presentations by tying together logical aspects of the story with graphics, charts, and verbiage
- Build and automate businessfacing tools that can be used during early project ideation and shared throughout the organization
- Develop and manage key metrics to assess Walt Disney Imagineering experience performance
- Consolidate key learnings for new Walt Disney Imagineeringdeveloped experiences to inform future development decisions
- Partner with other Walt Disney Imagineering teams including Master Planning, Franchise Planning, Project Controls, Blue Sky Studio, R&D, and project teams in addition to teams across the Disney Experiences segment including Consumer Insights, Commercial and Finance, Operational Partners, and Global Development to incorporate other business insights into the creative decisionmaking
- Provide recommendations about analysis methods for accomplishing projects with the oversight of the manager
- Support the team in research questions, industry analysis, and adhoc projects
You will have:
- 13 years' experience
- Computer skills including spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Experience with data management, quantitative, and qualitative analytics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to partner with others to prioritize multiple task within a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and accuracy/detail orientation
- Problemsolving skills.
- Analytical skills relative to evaluating data from multiple sources to drive better decision making
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment under changing conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data visualization tools e.g. Excel, Tableau and Airtable (or equivalent)
- Experience with presentation tools e.g. Keynote, PowerPoint
- Broad understanding of The Walt Disney Company, Disney Experiences, and the theme park industry
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or Business
