Duties:


  • You will begin all responsibility statements with 'You will'; each field should have no more than one sentence; list the responsibilities in a logical order; and avoid using federal or military jargon. 250 Characters.
  • You will perform investigations and site visits regularly, and provide technical assistance, guidance, and information to generating activities and units concerning what to turn in for recycling.
  • You will keep record of items received, delivered, or shipped out.
  • You will ensure recycling activities performed are done in compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
  • You will serve as a working leader of three or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work on a regular and recurring basis.

  • You must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • You must be able to secure a forklift operator permit within six months of hire.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a preappointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to frequently lift and carry materials, supplies and equipment weighing up to an in excess of 50 pounds.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You may be required to to occasionally travel offbasde for a period up to 5 days. Regular work schedule may include Saturdays.

Qualifications:

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Sample tasks of the position include:

Preparing items for recycling by bailing, dismantling, packing, or palletizing; AND collecting recyclables in specialized recycling vehicles.- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
