As part of the reappointment of the Chair for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law with a special focus on European and international references (Prof. Dr.Frank Meyer), the Institute for German, European and International Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law at Heidelberg University is seeking to fill the following part-time position hours/week) from January 1st or February 1st, 2023:
Academic Staff Member (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities:
- Participation in research projects of the chair, particularly in the field of European criminal law
- Independent teaching of courses totaling two semester hours per week
- Participation in courses and exams of the chair
- Supervision of students
- Organization of conferences
Your profile:
- You have successfully completed the First State Examination in Law with aboveaverage results (at least "vollbefriedigend")
- Indepth knowledge of criminal law; ideally also in European or international law
- Interest in the international focus of the chair
- Interest in academic work and pursuing a doctorate
- Excellent English skills
- Excellent knowledge of common computer programs
- Teamwork skills, curiosity for new legal developments and solutions
