Responsibilities:


Innovative Curriculum Design:

You will design and implement a dynamic and engaging curriculum that caters to the unique needs of high school students with autism.

Your creativity will shine as you develop innovative strategies to foster academic growth, life skills development, and social-emotional well-being.

Individualized Instruction:

Utilizing evidence-based practices, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each student.

Your expertise in autism intervention will enable you to provide differentiated instruction, ensuring that every student reaches their full potential.


Social Skills Development:
You will facilitate the development of social skills and foster a sense of belonging among students.

Through structured activities, group projects, and community engagement, you will empower students to build meaningful relationships and navigate social interactions confidently.


Collaborative Approach:

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, behavior analysts, and parents, to develop comprehensive strategies that support the holistic development of each student.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Proven experience working with high school students with autism, preferably in a specialized program
  • Indepth knowledge of evidencebased practices and interventions for students with autism
  • Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and experience in their development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of students with autism
