Stormwater Treatment Plants and Pumping Stations for the City Drainage Department

The Special Structures and Water Engineering Department of the Düsseldorf City Drainage Department, with its 20 engineers, is responsible for the planning and construction of special structures and flood protection systems, as well as watercourse development. In addition, the department is responsible for implementing investment projects at the approximately 230 existing special structures in the sewer network.

The tasks of the Special Structures department include in particular the planning and construction of stormwater treatment plants and pumping stations, as well as the renovation of existing special structures with the trades of construction, mechanical and electrical engineering, using the BIM method.

Your tasks include, among others:
  • Construction management of stormwater treatment plants and pumping stations
  • technical participation in the planning and procurement phase
  • support of the project management as technical construction manager in a team with the technical construction managers for mechanical and electrical engineering
  • assumption of the client function in accordance with the construction site regulations.
Your profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a comparable field or comparable qualification
