Job Overview:


We are looking for a
Recreation
Assistant Manager to support a brand new amenity center located in
midtown Manhattan, New York City.



What you will do:


  • Provide support and assistance to the Site Leader in all operations and staffing aspects of the amenity center.
  • Maintain and improve the quality and service of the amenity center by communicating with tenants, team members and encourage feedback.
  • Provide leadership to set the tone and personality of the amenity center by making it a motivating and engaging place to work.
  • Perform quality control checks on all aspects of service delivery within the amenity center such as daily front desk operations, enrollments, and assisting tenants with golf simulators.
  • Provide information to tenants on private events, sports, leagues, and tournaments.
  • Identify and coordinate facility maintenance and repairs, maintain inventory control, and prepare purchase orders.
  • Implement and evaluate all product capabilities, programs, and marketing for tenant engagement. Assist the client's marketing team for all programming.
  • Take responsibility for primary human capital responsibilities, such as hiring, coaching, motivating, scheduling, training, developing, evaluating, assigning projects and workload to and, when necessary, terminating team members.

What we are looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Exercise Science, Dance, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Business Management, Sport Management, Parks and Recreation, Recreation Administration etc.).
  • Minimum three years of experience in a fitness center or spa facility that has close interactions with members and guests.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.
  • Ability to effectively engage participants as a public speaker.
  • Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
