    Position Summary:


    The Business Development Manager reports directly to the VP of Business Development and is responsible for booking new and repeat business.

    The Business Development Manager may perform a variety of tasks in accordance with their training, experience, and skill.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Part of the team that executes both short- and long-term plans and programs to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of the company
    • Executes the company's marketing and sales strategy to gain market share in the U.S. market and to grow profitable existing accounts and win profitable new customer relationships in the U.S. marketplace
    • Prepares input for company strategic planning for sales and marketing in the U.S. marketplace and identifies potential profitable off shoring opportunities
    • Negotiates terms and conditions for master sales agreements with customers, customer contracts and for strategic partnerships
    • Understands the competitive dynamics in electronic manufacturing services especially in the U.S. marketplace
    • Develop and execute sales programs and reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, and price schedules
    • Attends regular marketing and sales meetings and strategy sessions to remain informed of external and internal opportunities or threats to products and sales.
    • May represent company at trade association meetings and exhibits to promote a product or service
    • Conducts regular existing customer surveys in order to determine the satisfaction level with the company
    • Prepares marketing and sales activity reports and others as required
    • Develops and maintains courteous and effective working relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and representatives of external organizations
    • Must communicate information and state problems or challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, courteous, nondiscriminatory and professional manner and be able to provide clarification as necessary

    Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:

    • 4+ years of business development, marketing, and/or sales experience in a PCBA and Mechanical contract manufacturing environment
    • Possess a BA/BS degree in industrial, mechanical or business administration or equivalent experience
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales programs and reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, and price schedules
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing and/or equivalent experience
    • Demonstrated ability to lead others and get results through others for Business Development and sales activities.
    • Able to organize and manage multiple priorities
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Understands the competitive dynamics in electronic manufacturing services and NPI process.
    • Understands the competitive dynamics in electronic manufacturing services especially in the U.S. marketplace
    • Proficient with PC-based software including CRM's, Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Strong, effective organizational skills required; detail oriented; ability to multitask
    • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning

    • Experience in and/or the ability to operate and travel internationally
    • Experience in global companies
    • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
    • Possess excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
    • Ability to read, and interpret engineering information (such as technical drawings, CAD), technical procedures, and various reports
    • Ability to keep accurate documentation (i.e. CRM)
    • Ability to apply basic concepts of arithmetic
    • Ability to use common sense to solve practical problems
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
    • Possess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, executives, managers and employees;
    • Maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
    • Sales leadership skills with a competitive nature
    • Available to work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, customers, vendors, and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and goals. This may include odd hour teleconferences with global facilities.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


    Travel:
    The Business Development Manager is expected to travel to customer and supplier sites regularly. There is a potential for international travel to corporate location in Germany and customer sites. Percentage of travel not to exceed 45%-55%.
