Description
The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for providing support for the UCLA School of Dentistry's Curriculum, student course evaluations, maintaining the curricular schedule and updating the school's website calendar.
As part of the Curriculum support duties, the employee serves as clerical support for the curriculum and academic committees, enters data in the electronic curriculum program/database including syllabi and quarterly calendars and creates the rotation block schedule for all predoctoral dental students.
As part of the academic program duties, the employee will work with Academic Programs Office Manager and Academic Enrichment on all areas of curriculum research and assessment, including course and instructor evaluations, outcomes assessments, curriculum mapping, and continual review for quality improvement of teaching and learning, administering student surveys including yearly student surveys, and D4 exit surveys.
The employee will coordinate student schedules, arrange meetings, reserve rooms, formulate agendas, take minutes, follow-up on action items, maintain electronic records of course syllabi, and curriculum business.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill in working independently, following through on assignments with mínimal direction and setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities. (required)
- Demonstrated interpersonal and effective communication skills to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with faculty, administrators, and staff. (required)
- Demonstrated organizational skills to analyze situations and to plan ahead in order to prevent problems and promote efficiency. (required)
- Ability to learn how to use an electronic curriculum system, block schedule platform (CalendarLab) and an electronic calendar. (required)
- Ability to use and develop surveys and reports on Qualtrics. (required)
- Demonstrated data entry skills to enter accurate information; typing skills to accurately type forms and prepare reports and write correspondence. (required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of what constitutes confidential information and skill in maintaining confidentiality with regard to sensitive information. (required)
- Ability to handle multiple demands maintaining professional demeanor. (required)
- Ability and willingness to point out inconsistencies/conflicts in materials that are submitted and/or reviewed by various committees. (required)
- Ability to absorb and recall material that is submitted and/or discussed. (required)
Special Conditions for Employment
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA.
