The "Medical University of Lausitz" is seeking a Digitalization Director (m/f/d) for the founding board, starting on July 1, 2024.

The position is being advertised by the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the state of Brandenburg (MWFK).

The state of Brandenburg is establishing the first state-owned university hospital, the "Medical University of Lausitz" (MUL), and is creating the most innovative future location in Germany's university landscape with research focuses on health system research and digitalization.

The position will be filled for a period of up to five years and will transition to the position of Digitalization Director after the MUL's organs have been fully staffed.


Your responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for planning and managing the entire digitalization of the Medical University of Lausitz
  • Supervise and expand our internal IT infrastructure
  • Shape and implement digital transformations as a pioneer of digitalization
  • Establish an internal digital team and select and manage external partners
  • Develop and promote digital care processes (e.g. in the field of telemedicine, health apps, patient management) as well as the field of AI in medicine
  • Establish and lead the coordination office for digital networking at the Medical University of Lausitz
  • Advise and support the marketing team in building digital visibility (website, strategic development of relevant digital channels)
