Job Description

  • As part of the development team for front systems, plastic exterior, and pedestrian protection, our focus is on efficient component design while considering design, functionality, and integration requirements.
  • You will be responsible for the development (properties, costs, weight, quality, timing) and release of the rear bumper cover, side skirt cover, and rear crash system within the front and rear system module.
  • As part of the SE or META team, you will ensure the performance of development for the abovementioned scope. You will lead design rounds in the respective teams.
  • Within the group, you will take on technical responsibility for a part of your component scope. You will be the crossfunctional contact person and define the requirements in the specification sheet.

Qualifications

  • Degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, plastics engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Knowledge of designing and constructing plastic, steel, and aluminum components.
  • Experience with established BMW systems and development processes. Knowledge of Catia V5 and VisView CAD systems, as well as PRISMA and CAD PDM, is advantageous.
  • Enjoy working with internal process partners, external service providers, and suppliers.
