    The Peabody Preparatory


    Camp dates:
    Monday, July 1 to Friday, August 9, 2024. You must be available every day 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. There will be a mandatory orientation June 28 and 29.

    Duties:


    Attend all daily classes and activities with assigned group, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

    Assist campers with class content, dance skills, choreography, and activities as needed in classes.
    Assist dance instructors or facilitators with classroom management.
    Monitor campers' behavior and act as a liaison between campers and faculty members, AileyCamp Director, and other AileyCamp staff.
    Report individual campers' counseling needs to the Guidance Counselor.
    Assist faculty members as needed in the creation of the end-of-camp performance materials.
    Participate in lunch duty, free periods, and general supervision of campers when not in classes or meetings.
    Participate in all rehearsal, preparation, and day-of final performance activities as needed to support the artistic staff.
    Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings (3:30-4:30 pm) and individual meetings with the AileyCamp Director.

    Dress in the AileyCamp staff uniform and in a neat and clean manner ensuring clothing and/or costumes do not contain inappropriate references for children (alcohol, drugs, profanity, etc.).

    Attend a mandatory staff orientation .

    Voluntarily participate in the background checks required for employment including, but not limited to, federal and sex offender checks and fingerprinting.

    The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination.

    This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing.

    Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.

    Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.

    In keeping with the mandates of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act),the University's Annual Report contains statistics of certain crimes that are reported and that occurred on campus, in certainoff-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or an officially recognized student organization, and onpublic property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus for the three most recent calendar years.

    Also includedare campus security policies including those related to missing student notifications, alcohol and drug use, sexual assault, relationshipviolence, and stalking, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, and fire safety policies and statistics.

    All Johns Hopkins faculty,staff and students are encouraged to read and print out the report at and to report all criminal incidents promptly to your respective security department.
